Development:
Whether you have a greenfield or Brownfield project, the HCS Team has generated and implemented many successful Field Development Plans (FDP) or Plan of Development (POD).
HCS has significant technical expertise, capability and experience to assist clients with Integrated studies and development planning. Our sub-surface consulting team covers the complete range of geosciences, petroleum engineering, drilling, economics, facilities disciplines. The team has previously been employed with oil & gas companies carrying out many successful Field Development Plans (FDP or POD) which brings the added benefit of integrated thinking a strong combination and an essential component in the development planning process.

The HCS team has developed and carried out many FDPs for Brownfield and Greenfield Oil & Gas reservoirs. Whether you have a clastic, carbonate, , unconventional reservoir, fractured basement, fractured reservoir, oil, gas, condensate, heavy oil or tar sands you will find our innovative integrated solutions and monitoring systems very impressive and have been carried out somewhere in the world by one or more of HCS’ team members.
·After any oil and gas commercial discovery, the FDP study represents a challenge to convince the local authorities with your FDP proposal. The best opportunity to influence the project life cycle economics starts with development concept selection and continues through to Front-End Engineering Design (FEED). It’s during these phases that our project team comprising all the sub-surface disciplines, and integrated with key personnel for conceptual engineering, will identify, assess and rank feasible options, with the objective of selecting the preferred development scheme to maximize ultimate recovery and optimize economic performance over the life of the field.
Our forecast scenario cases, which include optimal development plans, are presented on a summarized basis with detailed tables for individual wells available in an easily accessible digital/electronic format. Those forecast scenarios may include potential re-completion candidates, infill or extension drilling including vertical and/or horizontal wells, water injection or tertiary recovery and field facility/operating constraints.
Our field development plans also provide guidelines for proper development and implementation. HCS identifies field-development life cycles and recommends operational strategies to maximize rates of return and minimize over-development. A major tool to guide field development planning is dynamic reservoir modelling.
We support our client’s projects from feasibility assessment, conceptual field development planning through to preparation of the basis of design document.
